Canoe/Kayak Rack & Tether Rental Registration, Payment, and Documentation
By signing up for this event you will be paying for your seasonal craft rental spot at either Willow Beach or University Bay. You will need to read and agree to the contract as well as provide your craft information and insurance documentation.
The full rental year runs from April 15, 2025- April 14, 2026.
The summer season runs from April 15, 2025 - November 15, 2025
Instructions:
- Read and Agree to the contract by clicking on the "accept" box
- Answer in-full the Wisconsin Union Canoe Rack & Tether Boat and Insurance Info. questionnaire
- Finalize your payment to confirm sign-up
Shortly after you have signed up for your rental season you will be contacted by the OUW Manager who will confirm your spot location and number. If you have further questions or are having any issues signing up, do not hesitate to reach out to ouwmanager_union@wisc.edu.

- Equipment Reservation Only (for COVID-19 rentals and equipment checkouts)
- Cancellation, Reschedule, and Refund Information
- All payment is final. No refunds will be given unless there has been an error made by Outdoor UW staff. Failure to responsibility use the racks, and be courteous to the renters that are also utilizing the racks will result in disciplinary action up to termination of rental contract and void all future opportunities to rent from Outdoor UW
- Equipment/ Gear Required by Participant
- A nautical vessel that will securely fit onto the rack that you are reserving. Some types of nautical vessels that will securely fit on these rentable racks are canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards. Nautical vessels such small sailboats as portable/collapsible boats that are left fully assembled and do not fit on top of the racks ARE NOT PERMITTED. These boats will be removed and a refund will not be issued.
- Food and Equipment Information
- No food or additional items should be left in or around the boats utilizing the racks.
