Description

Our very last Terrace Yoga class of the season will take you beyond the regular “breathe in, breathe out” flow of your normal practice. In this special pranayama class, Megan will help students explore many of the different types of breath work integral to a full yogic practice, and incorporate them into an all-levels flow. But the benefit of breath doesn’t end there! In addition to guiding students through the use of their breath in a physical practice, Megan will highlight the benefits of intentional use of breath throughout guided meditation. What better way to end a full season of Terrace Yoga than by bringing it back to the reason we are all here: a breath of fresh air.

Terrace Yoga classes are $7/class. Pre-registration is not mandatory, but encouraged. Online registration will remain open until 10pm the evening before class. Cancellations can be made up until 10pm the evening before class, and will result in credit with Outdoor UW.

Drop-ins are welcome, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Drop-ins should stop by the Outdoor UW Office to sign in and pay before heading up to class.

All participants must be 18 years or older to attend.

Things you will need to know:

  • BYOYM (Bring Your Own Yoga Mat). We provide rental yoga mats ($2 per class) and we sell beach towels, however you may want to bring your own towel or blocks. (Props, such as blocks, are not required for class, but you are welcome to bring along anything you use for your practice
  • Check the sandwich board outside the Outdoor UW Office for the location of your class.
  • Outdoor UW doors open at 7:00 AM - instructors will arrive early if you need to utilize locker rooms and water fountains. Drop-in participants and all pre-registered participants can check in with the instructor at the class location. Drop-in's can pay after class.
  • Wear comfortable clothing. Athletic shorts/leggings and an athletic top work really well. 
  • Bathrooms, showers, and lockers are available (lockers are 25 cents so please bring a quarter)
  • Weather cancellations and location notifications will be made via email and text message at least 1 hour before the start of class. Please check for the update before arriving!
